I just came across a new 18th century blog, Helt rococo. It’s in Norwegian but if you don’t know the language you can always check it out for the photos.

Hej Helt Rococo! Its always worth a visit to your blog. Do you know the BBC comedy show “Horrible Histories”? So far there are 3 series with lot of atrocious historical facts presented in a funny, racy and scatological form presumably for “children”. The 18th century has the headline “Gorgeous Georgians” and there are some fine songs you can check out on YouTube - highly recommended are “Dick Turpin” (very sexy) about the famous highway man (1705-1739) and “The 4 Georges” (hillarious) with George 1, 2, 3 and 4 sitting all dressed up on high chairs crooning. There is an episode called
“Georgian Wife Swap” plus a georgian chef in “Historical Masterchef” and a lady demonstrating “Georgian Beauty Tips” Very very funny. Check them out.

Elisabeth in London: This isn’t the Helt Rococo blog, you should follow the link and comment over there :)

Oh, Sorry Johanna, I got carried away as I read both your blog and Helt Rococo, but my tip about BBCs Horrible History (can be seen on Youtube) still stands.
Kind Regards
Elisabeth
