Click the picture to see my photos from the day I visited the Lyss till 1700-talet event at Skansen a couple of weeks ago, plus some photos from previous years. I wore my new outfit.

Wow!!!! You look amazing! And the scenery is spectacular. I so wish we had such beautiful sites to play at here in the Northwest. Sigh… We must be content with late Victorian structures.

Lovely–the room matches your outfit!

(I’ve been reading your blog for a while but haven’t commented yet–allow me to introduce myself!)

Thank you! :)

Fabulous! You look terrific.

Wow! You look from another time!
I’m gonna sew an 18th century dress for school and I’d love to know how did you do your hair?! is so perfect!
Beautiful blog! I love it!

Thank you! I just curled it, teased/backcombed it a lot and then then pinned it up a bit to create the shape, then sprayed and powdered. It’s a very simple style to make if you have long hair, otherwise you can do it on a wig and just pull your real hair out over the front of it.

Congratulations for your beautiful blog.

I must confess I was searching for “19th century pictures” and was somewhat bored when I had the idea of google searching for “18 century pictures” just to see what would happen, well aware that the earliest photographies were taken in the first half of the 19th century…

then found your blog, with lots of pictures, all well taken, and discovered the motion captures of “Jefferson in Paris”, which I plan to watch on DVD as I like historical movies.

I have specially liked to see your artistically sewn costumes, too… as I know, the originals were hand sewn which must have taken lots of time to accomplish.

Keep on the good work.

Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed the blog :)
