Absolutely beautiful portraits. Also take a close look at the dresses these girls are wearing !

According to the Olga’s Gallery website (which has nearly ninety of his works), from top to bottom of your unidenfied sitters:

1) the Italian dancer Giovanna Baccelli.
2) Mary, Lady Bate-Dudley.
3) Sophia Charlotte, Lady Sheffield.
4) the Mall.
5) the Three Elder Princesses (Augusta on the left, Charlotte in the centre and Elizabeth seated on the right: daughters of George III).
6) Miss Catherine Tatton.
7) “Portrait of Henry, Duke of Cumberland, with the Duchess of Cumberland and Lady Elizabeth Luttrell.”
9) the Duchess of Beaufort.

Fantastic blog, btw :) I’ve been trawling through all day-great quality pictures
and some wonderful links, although there’s a bit of a language barrier with some of them!

Thank you very much for the information! :)

Yes,they are very very beautiful!Little question:Where do you get all your information? It’s because I collect some information and pictures of the 18th century ,too.Would be a great help.

AHHH:I forgot something:your site is really great

Thank you! I find it in books and on the internet mostly, anything specific you’re looking for?

oh..I don’t know! I always try to find some new interesting paintings and painters. But thank you ,I found most of mine in the intenet ,too.

i’ve got another question.it’s not about Gainsborough, but if i write it here, too: did you hear of the amarican painter matthew pratt?
http://www.metmuseum.org/special/americanstories/…
this painting is quite good but I coudn’t find any other ones of him. :-(

I’ve never heard of Matthew Pratt before actually so I’m afraid I don’t know anything more than you. It’s always interesting to discover a new artist.

It’s OK…
but can you tell me, where did you find the sketch of the painting he “the three eldest daughters of George III”?
