Lady Carrie Manor
I’ve never seen 18th century fashion that looks like that before! What did they call it, and where did they wear it? Why it almost looks as if the lady is wearing her hoops outside her dress! Very interesting!

She’s actually carrying a pair of hoops, and the piece of brown fabric, since she’s a dressmaker. The little girl is carrying stuff in her apron and they’re probably delivering clothes somewhere. What they’re wearing is pretty conventional for the time, robes a l’anglaise or polonaise, but with aprons on top.
